We spent a week at Domes of Elounda and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is of the highest standard from the reception to housekeeping, everything was exceptional. However, the real highlight of our stay was the kids’ club, which is by far the best we’ve ever experienced and we travel about five times a year, mostly with Club Med. The manager, Eleni, took incredible care of us and our 13 month old son. She gave him personal attention, updated us daily on how his day went, and created an environment where he could express himself in the best way possible. Thanks to the care, comfort, and peace of mind the kids’ club provided, we even booked another week for next year! There is truly something magical about this place. All the staff, including Depi, were warm, communicative, and connected with the children on their level. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine passion for working with kids set a new standard for service. Many places could learn from the way this team creates such a special atmosphere. Highly recommended for families we can’t wait to come back!

We can't express enough how amazing our family vacation was. Everything at this place is excellent. The staff are the most caring and professional we have ever had. The resort is beautiful.we were upgraded on arrival to a 3 bedroom residence with a private pool .thank you so much. We booked the residence with access to the Houte Living what was amazing and so was the food in the restaurants we ate .the Tholos and the Blend. We enjoyed our stay so much that we're looking forward to come back next year. I stayed here as a solo traveller for 4 nights. It’s a beautiful hotel, impeccably clean and the staff are very friendly. It’s completely set up for couples and families though so as a solo it wasn’t that great beyond the quality of surroundings. There were many good things to say, food and drinks quality was excellent and the resort is beautiful. Extras (food/drinks) are very expensive and if you want something out of the “standard” then it can be an issue. I get the feeling that the staff don’t have a lot of discretion to go outside the norm, and that at least should be a mark of a great hotel, that pretty much anything is possible. If I was there as a couple or with children, I’d have enjoyed it more. That is not to say that it’s not a really nice place, it is. But if you’re looking for something with a bit of life (especially after 8pm) then maybe not so great.

It's one of these places which look better in real life than in pictures - we had a wonderful girls' (mother and adult daughters) trip in Domes of Elounda! The resort has a perfect location, in the Eastern, less crowded, part of Crete, surrounded by beautiful places to visit, if you want to, with amazing privet, well-equipped beach. The resort itself covers a vast area on the hill with spectacular views, and many different areas, including several swimming pools, restaurants and so on, and the club-cars service of getting everywhere by was very useful! The open gym is a real gem - every morning we enjoyed a training program with the cute trainer Michael! We was worried about the fact that this it's a family resort, but it had plenty "adults only" areas, so we never suffered from noice or overcrowding. The service was always courteous and professional. We had just a perfect experience - it's definitely the place to come back again!

We stayed at Domes Aulus Elounda expecting a true 5-star experience, but unfortunately what we found was very disappointing. The resort is beautiful and in a fantastic location, but the service and management were far below luxury standards. The beach facilities are completely inadequate: only a handful of umbrellas and sunbeds for hundreds of guests, which made finding a place almost impossible. To make matters worse, we discovered that non-residents were freely using the hotel’s sunbeds and enjoying the bar service. When we complained, the staff justified it as an act of “hospitality” and to avoid confrontation. Allowing outsiders to benefit from facilities that paying guests struggle to access is outrageous. We also had a serious issue with personal belongings (a phone charger and wireless earphones) left in our first room when we upgraded. I realized the mistake within two hours and immediately reported it, yet the items were never recovered. What mattered was not their value, but the fact that a 5-star hotel was unable to secure and return them so quickly. To make things worse, the hotel later asked me to provide photos and purchase receipts in order to be refunded — as if anyone keeps documentation for such everyday items. This was not only unrealistic but frankly ridiculous and disrespectful. Other problems included the live cooking stations at the main restaurant, which were heavily promoted at check-in but never once operational during peak season, and a persistent sewage smell in the rooms and even by the pool. For the very high nightly rates charged, this level of service is unacceptable. The hotel has potential thanks to its location, but the way it is managed completely ruins the guest experience.
